NWF Action Fund Endorses Rep. Chris Smith for Re-Election

Protecting New Jersey's Clean Water, Public Lands and Wildlife Habitat

The National Wildlife Federation Action Fund has endorsed Rep. Chris Smith for re-election in New Jersey's 4th Congressional district. Rep. Smith has stood out in Congress as an independent voice for environmental protection.

"Chris Smith has worked to safeguard New Jersey's clean water, protect public lands and wildlife habitat, advance reforms in the wake of the Gulf oil disaster, and protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge," said Sue Brown, executive director of the National Wildlife Federation Action Fund.

Rep. Smith was also endorsed for re-election by the National Wildlife Federation Action Fund in 2010.

"We need bipartisan leadership on both sides of the aisle if we're to achieve a safer and cleaner environment for our children and future generations. Congressman Smith has a demonstrated track record of pragmatic leadership on conservation issues and is well positioned to help tackle challenges ranging from climate change to providing opportunities for young people to get outside and connect with nature.” said Brown.
