Climate Change: Kids Site Environmental Protection Agency
Link: http://www.epa.gov/climatechange/kids/change.html
Ages: Elementary school
This first-class site is primarily for elementary school kids. The design is bright and inviting, and all text is clear, thorough, and positive. The site does an excellent job of answering such questions as: What is climate change? Can we change the climate? and Can we make a real difference? Science animations teach children about the water and carbon cycles, and reinforce key global warming concepts covered throughout the site. A few unimaginative games (Word Search, Hangman, etc.) reinforce concepts as well. The site also includes a list of helpful resources for K-12 teachers and links to other quality educational sites on global warming.
