Building A

The Boeing Company
The Boeing Company will showcase an environmental exhibit with information on the future of jet fuel, second generation biofuels, and global challenge of emissions.

Climate Solutions
Climate Solutions will provide information on practical solutions to global warming.

Community Coalition for Environmental Justice
CCEJ provides information on programs to ensure that low-income people and people of color have equitable access to environmental quality and services and that they are equally represented in environmental, land-use, regulation and community development planning projects.

The Dream It. Do It Campaign
“Dream It. Do It.” is a program designed to increase local training and employment opportunities. The main goal is to broaden awareness of manufacturing careers and recruit young people into the industry.

HVAC/Marine Electricians
This program provides training in a wide of array of electrical services for marine applications including energy efficiency applications. They will display under-floor heating and a new conversion of AD to DC electricity.

Kenworth
Kenworth produces world-class trucks including their new hybrid truck which will be on display.

King County Department of Transportation
King County DOT will be exhibiting one medium duty hybrid truck and one hybrid Toyota Prius that has been converted with plug-in technology.

King County Labor Council
King County Labor Council, AFL-CIO, is the central body of labor organizations in King County, Washington. The Labor Council supports and promotes green work.

MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions
MacDonald-Miller offers energy management services to their customers. They hire skilled individuals to help design these services, bring them to market and, ultimately, support them.

MulvannyG2 Architecture
Mulvanny will display their services for sustainable architecture.

NW SEED (Sustainable Energy for Economic Development)
NW SEED works to establish a clean, diverse, and affordable energy system based on efficient use of renewable resources, with maximum local control and ownership of energy assets.

Port of Seattle
The Port of Seattle has a goal to be the "cleanest, greenest, most energy efficient" port in the nation. Through efforts such as the NW Ports Clean Air Strategy and SeaTac Airport's extensive environmental programs, the port is taking action to make sure its operations are the cleanest possible.

Puget Sound Energy
PSE will provide information on their leading efforts for energy efficiency and renewable energy.

Renton Technical College
Renton Technical College will offer information on career training opportunities leading to a family wage job in maintenance and building fields, including: commercial building/industrial engineering, major appliance/ refrigeration technology, construction management, and Seattle Pipe Trades and Heat/ Frost Insulators apprenticeships.

Seattle City Light
SCL is nationally recognized for their efforts on energy efficiency and renewable energy. They will have a table with conservation materials and will hand out compact fluorescent light bulbs.

Seattle City Light Beam Apprenticeship Program

Seattle Climate Partnership
Seattle Climate Partnership, a collaboration of businesses, institutions and government agencies, will display its plug-in electric hybrid vehicle. They will also provide tools and information for businesses to reduce their carbon footprint.

Shoreline Community College
Shoreline Community College will provide information about their training program for their solar/ zero-energy technology program.

South Seattle Community College
South Seattle Community College will display information on their energy auditing. This process evaluates a home (or business) to suggest ways to improve energy efficiency.

UTC Power
UTC Power will display its array of efficient, reliable, sustainable energy alternatives. 

Washington Manufacturing Services
WMS fosters economic prosperity in the state of Washington by helping Washington’s smaller manufacturers take action to increase their competitiveness, in a socially acceptable and environmentally responsible manner. WMS coordinates the "Dream It. Do It." Campaign in Washington State.

Washington State Department of Natural Resources Geology
DNR-Division of Geology conducts Washington's Geological Survey. They will showcase Geothermal Potential in the state and demonstrate their interactive map.

Washington State Society of American Foresters
They will have a "Biofuels in Washington" display showing alternatives to petroleum fuels. 

Windbalance
Windbalance will display the wind turbines being installed in businesses and schools as well as their educational materials for involving the corporate and private community to get involved with renewable energy.


Building B

Apprenticeship and Non-traditional Employment for Women (ANEW)
ANEW will open their laboratory to demonstrate their career pathways-to-apprenticeship programs.

Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 104

Green IT Alliance
Green IT Alliance will display their energy efficiency technologies for information technology (IT) infrastructure. Their mission is to become a nationally recognized Clean Technology Center of Excellence, devoted to accelerating broad adoption of technologies and practices for integrating energy efficient IT infrastructure into sustainable enterprise and data center architectures.

Puget Sound Electrical JATC
Puget Sound Electrical Apprenticeship will display a photovoltaic system as well as information regarding their electrical apprenticeship program and how it fits into the arena of solar power installation. 

International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 191

International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 46
IBEW Local 46 will display a photovoltaic system.

Roofers Apprenticeship
Roofers Apprenticeship will be demonstrating a green adhesive product that reduces environmental impact.

Solar Washington
Solar Washington is a private not-for-profit 501(c)3 association of solar energy equipment manufacturers, system integrators, distributors, dealers, designers, consultants, students, and interested people.

Washington Apollo Alliance
As the Apollo space program did a generation ago, the New Apollo Program outlines an ambitious agenda for the nation over the next decade: generating cleaner power and improving energy efficiency, cutting energy bills, reducing pollution, restoring America's technological and industrial preeminence, and creating high-quality jobs. The plan was developed by the Apollo Alliance, a national coalition of business, environmental, labor and community leaders brought together by the common vision of building a clean energy, good jobs future for our nation.


Building C

Manufacturing Industrial Council
The MIC of Seattle was formed in 1998 by a small handful of volunteer members who shared a feisty outlook on the issue of preserving Seattle's industrial lands for industrial purposes. Today, the group includes about 60 members - some big, some small - all sharing a commitment to retaining and supporting the "family wage" job base of the city. The MIC publishes a magazine, Seattle Industry, to fulfill it's on-going mission as an advocate for industrial employers.

National Wildlife Federation
NWF’s mission is to inspire Americans to protect wildlife and our natural resources for future generations.  By the end of this century 30 percent of all species will disappear unless global warming is stopped. This is why NWF has made stopping global warming and promoting the new green economy its number one priority. Global warming connects all people, businesses, animals and places. Your success in “greening” jobs and businesses is everyone's success.


Building D

Lafarge
Lafarge is one of the most diversified suppliers of construction materials, including cement and cement-related products. The Lafarge Seattle Plant is an example of a manufacturing plant that uses alternative fuels and by-products to reduce the use of virgin raw materials including their low-carbon cements, NewCem® and MaxCem®. 

Western Washington Cement Masons
Western Washington Cement Masons will be demonstrating their pervious cement which dramatically reduces stormwater runoff. Come out at 11:30 to see a demonstration.

    Western Washington Masonry Trades provide different types of masonry materials, AAC blocks, standard CMU, standard brick, stone, and setting of different tile products.  Much of their material comes from recycled products and can be recycled.

    Cascadia Community College
    Cascadia Community College will showcase their new Environmental Technologies & Sustainable Practices (ETSP) courses being offered starting this fall. With this AAS-T degree, students gain the ability to measure, monitor, and recommend actions to reduce energy use and apply these applications in commercial settings.

    Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition
    DRCC will provide information about the Duwamish River cleanup and restoration, public involvement, their Duwamish Valley Vision project, and their Youth Program.

    ECOFAB LLC
    ECOFAB LLC will provide information on their programs about sustainable site development and green, EnergyStar housing prototype information and education.

    ECOSS (Environmental Coalition of South Seattle)
    ECOSS will showcase how they help local businesses green their operations. As a part of this exhibit, they will showcase money-saving ways to conserve resources and reduce waste to help protect the environment and support profitability.  

    Edmonds Community College
    Edmonds Community College is working on creating greener career pathways through its new Restoration Horticulture program, as well as developing other programs relating to sustainability to be offered in the near future.   

    GE Water and Process Technologies
    GE Water & Process Technologies, a unit of GE Infrastructures is a leading global supplier of water treatment, wastewater treatment and process systems solutions.

    The Got Green Project is an interactive group of urban youth and young adults dedicated to empowering themselves and communities of color by introducing “GREEN” into their communities. By raising awareness, they are pushing-and pulling-for opportunities that will lift people of out poverty while promoting the certainty of environmental, social, and economic justice.

    King County Work Training Program
    King County Work Training Program will provide information about how they are helping young adults find out about and prepare for green career pathways.

    Network for Business Innovation and Sustainability
    NBIS helps companies adopt more sustainable business practices and teaches how sustainable business can be profitable as well.

    Seattle-King County Industrial Ecology Roundtable
    SKIER will demonstrate waste-reducing practices, such as composting food waste, and will provide information describing Industrial Ecology, its economic value, and local examples such as the NW Byproduct Synergy Network, and more.

    Seattle Public Utilities

    Seattle Public Utilities Apprenticeship Program
    SPU has two, 2-year long, state approved apprenticeship programs - one for Water Pipe Workers and one for Drainage and Waste Water Collection Workers. The utility trains its apprentices extensively in environmentally friendly construction methodologies. As the Utility strives to reflect the communities that we serve, we strongly encourage individuals from underrepresented groups to compete for these career opportunities

    Seattle Vocational Institute
    Seattle Vocational Institute provides soft skills, vocational and workforce training opportunities through short-term, self-contained programs that lead to jobs with a future. The college collaborates with business, labor, government and community groups and is directly affiliated with Seattle Central Community College.

    Union Sportsmen Alliance
    The Union Sportsmen Alliance is part of the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership that works to preserve the traditions of hunting and fishing. By building consensus among their individual and organizational partners they work to advance policy solutions on natural resource management issues of common concern, including climate change and green technology.

    Washington State Building and Construction Trades Council, AFL-CIO
    This is a voluntary coalition of over 60 construction-related labor organizations. Speaking for workers in a wide variety of crafts, the Building Trades Council provides organized and centralized representation before the State Legislature, as well as numerous boards and commissions. The Building & Construction Trades Council also performs research and member outreach for affiliated locals.
