Coastal Louisiana Program Staff
National Wildlife Federation has been energetically advocating for a comprehensive restoration agenda in Louisiana since 2002. Both the South Central Regional Center and the D.C. office have engaged members of Congress, advocated for legislation (including federal funding after Hurricane Katrina), done local and national outreach, and conducted public opinion research.
NWF leaders also have played an important role in the State of Louisiana's restoration planning efforts. For example, Susan Kaderka, the Executive Director of NWF’s Gulf States office, served on the Louisiana Governor’s Advisory Commission on Coastal Restoration and Conservation from 2003-2008.
