Michigan No Child Left Inside CoalitionWelcome to the Michigan No Child Left Inside Coalition. We are a collection of organizations working to rekindle the connection between Michigan's children and nature.

The Coalition is committed to promoting activities and policies that will help our children reconnect with nature through outdoor play and exploration, recreational opportunities, and hands on environmental education.

 Nature Connections presents the No Child Left Inside Nature Summit at Lakeland high school in White Lake on Tuesday, February 15 from 6 pm to 8 pm.

First Michigan NCLI Summit a Huge Success!

Thank you to everyone who attended the first ever Michigan NCLI Summit and made it such a success!

We had fantastic speakers and panelists, and we would also like to thank our sponsors, The Kalamazoo Nature Center, National Wildlife Federation, MI Department of Environmental  Quality, East Michigan Environmental Action Council, MI Department of Natural Resources, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Calhoun County.

On October 22, 2008, author Richard Louv spoke to a crowd of 2000 enthusiastic listeners gathered at Michigan State University. Louv spoke passionately about the national crisis of children being disconnected from nature. The event also served as a public announcement of the creation of the Michigan No Child Left Inside Coalition. Read more
