NWF's Trees for Wildlife Tree Seedling Application


Twice a year the National Wildlife Federation’s (NWF) Trees for Wildlife program provides trees that have been donated by members and donors to schools, nonprofit organizations, youth groups, volunteers and NWF affiliates for community tree planting or giveaway events. 

Important Notes:

  • Review tree bank guidelines prior to applying.
  • Applications for Spring planting must be received by February 21, 2014.  Fall requests must be received by September 21, 2014
  • Spring applications must have planting dates after March 11th for consideration and Fall applications must have planting dates after October 21st for consideration.
  • Fall applications may contain planting dates from October 21 - March 11.  Spring applications may contain planting dates from March 11 - May 30th.  Only Alaska applications may contain June, July and August dates 
  • Applicants will be notified (of approval or denial) within about 10 business days from the closing date of the application period.
