Puffins have been paying the deadly price for our unchecked carbon pollution. In recent years, young puffins have starved in their nests as warm water drove away the fish they require to grow and thrive.
Fortunately, this year puffins are experiencing a temporary respite from the extreme heat; however, the deadly warm years will occur more and more often unless we take action now. The drastic impact of the changing climate makes clear these rare birds’ future is threatened if global warming continues unabated.
Thanks to your advocacy, we are making historic strides on climate action, but this progress is in jeopardy if we do not stop big polluters’ current attacks on the Environmental Protection Agency!
Take action for puffins at risk from climate change—speak out against attacks to the Environmental Protection Agency’s historic proposed limits on carbon pollution!
If you take action and have not already registered, you will receive periodic updates and communications from National Wildlife Federation and National Wildlife Federation Action Fund.
