Young puffins in the Gulf of Maine have suffered starvation as the fish they need move north, and fish that are simply too large for them to eat have moved into nearby waters.

Warming temperatures in the Atlantic Ocean caused by climate change are driving the changes in where fish live, with disastrous results for puffins. In fact, puffins have been seen washing ashore in Maine by the dozens.

The Atlantic Ocean is home to puffins, and it can also be home to an important solution to curbing climate change—offshore wind. Right now, Congress has the chance to support clean energy by extending tax incentives for clean energy—but Congress must act soon.

Take Action! Help puffins by editing and sending a message to your members of Congress, urging them to support incentives for clean energy.
