Right now, female polar bears with young cubs are frantically looking for food to gain the calories needed to nurse their cubs. This fall, Arctic ice was far below-average Arctic ice—delaying when polar bears could end their summer fast and hunt for seals.

But right now, we also have momentum on our side to put strong limits on carbon pollution fueling the climate change that is causing polar bears to suffer.

The Environmental Protection Agency proposed limits on carbon pollution that comes from future coal fired power plants—and coal-fired power is our nation's largest source of carbon pollution.

Help protect polar bears by editing and sending a message to the Environmental Protection Agency, voicing your support for limits to carbon pollution.
