Threatened Louisiana black bears live and breed in wetlands along the Mississippi River.
These vital wetlands have repeatedly been at risk of destruction by harmful and unnecessary U.S. Army Corps of Engineers construction projects.
And now some members of Congress are trying to undermine the very environmental laws that help us defend the bears' habitat from unnecessary levees, dams, and pumping plants.
Passage of this bill would leave the Louisiana black bear and many more wildlife at risk from damaging construction projects.
Speak up for black bears—send a message urging your U.S. representative to pass a Water Resources Development Act that helps protect wildlife.
