Save Habitat for Imperiled Greater Sage-Grouse

Greater Sage-GrouseThe greater sage-grouse, an iconic bird of the West, could wind up on the endangered species list if more isn’t done to save its habitat

In 2010, the Fish and Wildlife Service determined that the greater sage-grouse warrants protection under the Endangered Species Act.

Despite this warning the Bureau of Land Management is considering selling oil and gas development leases in the North Park area of Colorado-- a region that contains vital sage-grouse habitat.

Take action! Tell the Bureau of Land Management not to issue additional oil and gas leases in greater sage-grouse habitat until plans are in place to ensure the long-term survival of the greater sage-grouse
