Red wolves exist in the wild in only one place on earth.

But now, a recent rash of shootings by poachers is putting the future of the entire population of red wolves at risk. In only one year, 10 percent of the entire population was killed.

After going extinct in the wild, 90-100 red wolves now live in and around a federal wildlife refuge in North Carolina—thanks to years of reintroduction efforts by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has worked tirelessly to help bring back red wolves, but they need increased federal funding to help successfully combat the latest threat to this critically endangered American species.

Take Action! Help keep red wolves from going extinct by editing and sending a message to your members of Congress, urging them to increase funding for red wolf conservation.
