Endangered North Atlantic right whales gather the energy they need to survive and reproduce by feeding on dense patches of zooplankton. But these areas of food are highly vulnerable to changes in water temperature.

Fewer than 500 North Atlantic right whales are alive in the world today, and they are depending on us to help curb climate change. One important solution is waiting for us far off the Atlantic Coast: offshore wind power.

Right now, New York leadership is determining how to fit large scale renewable energy sources into the state's Renewable Energy Vision. We are ensuring strict measures to protect wildlife are in place, especially to protect migrating right whales, and your voice is needed to help bring responsibly developed offshore wind power to the federal waters far off the coast of New York.

Add your voice! Take action below to send a message to the New York Public Services Commission, urging them to make offshore wind power a significant piece of the state’s energy future.
