Florida’s second largest national wildlife refuge is about to be abolished.
If wildlife advocates like you don’t act soon, the South Florida Water Management District will cancel the lease that the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service uses to manage the Loxahatchee as a wildlife refuge, and take control of the land.
The lease cancellation threatens a huge bird colony—including 250 bird species such as the endangered Everglade snail kite. And it would cut off community access to and educational programming at this Everglades treasure.
Please act TODAY to save this special place. Send a message to Florida's Governor Scott asking him to save the Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge.
If you take action and have not already registered, you will receive periodic updates and communications from National Wildlife Federation and National Wildlife Federation Action Fund.
