Imagine what would happen to sea otters in Monterey Bay if the waters were opened up for dredging, trawling or seabed mining?

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is currently considering rescinding or reducing protections for eleven national marine sanctuaries and monuments that safeguard millions of acres of ocean waters — including Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary in California.

Please send your message opposing any change to our national marine sanctuaries and monuments. Individualized comments will have more impact — please be as specific as you can.

It’s important that you act today, we only have until August 15th to take this action for the nation’s marine wildlife!
