Monarch butterflies, swift fox, moose and all wildlife in crisis need our help. And they need it fast.
In 20 years, monarch populations plummeted almost 90%. These magnificent butterflies have lost MILLIONS of acres of prairie grassland habitat — the home to milkweed host plants that monarch caterpillars feed on and nectar-providing wildflowers. And the swift fox now occupies less than half of its former range due to a host of challenges facing the species.
But the newly introduced Recovering America's Wildlife Act can provide help for monarchs, swift fox, moose and so many other wildlife species to recover and thrive. This bill would direct more than $1 billion to state conservation efforts to help save species in jeopardy like monarchs and swift fox.
Already, more than 28,000 friends of wildlife have urged their members of Congress to support this bill. Will you be next? Add your name as a citizen co-sponsor of the Recovering America's Wildlife Act.
