Mule deer roaming in and near the Grand Canyon are under threat from the devastation of uranium mining if Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke doesn’t uphold a 20-year mining moratorium.

In 2012 Secretary Salazar implemented a 20 year mining moratorium on 1 million acres of wild public lands near the Grand Canyon. Secretary Zinke has yet to clearly state whether he will, or will not, honor this policy and protect the land and wildlife from the threat of renewed uranium mining.

Don’t let foreign mining companies get their way. Tell Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke to keep uranium mining away from lands near the Grand Canyon and protect fragile mule deer habitat.
