The intensity of this summer’s blue-green algae outbreaks have harmed manatees and other Everglades wildlife and clog up Florida’s Lake Okeechobee. Fortunately, there is a solution to reducing this toxic, pollution-fueled blight: Everglades restoration.

The federal government must increase federal funding for Everglades restoration to implement key projects that will help improve the health of the overall ecosystem and improve its ability to contain and filter runoff pollution that leads to dangerous algal blooms. In order to maximize the benefits of Everglades restoration, the President must request full funding for the US Army Corps of Engineers to restore America’s Everglades.

Join us in sending a message to the White House: Fully fund the restoration of the Everglades! The future of manatees and the wildlife who call this incredible ecosystem depend on you.
