All across the country, vulnerable wildlife are losing ground. Species like Northern flying squirrels are secure in some areas but declining in others, especially where they are losing vital forest habitat.
Tomorrow, the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee will discuss a bill that would help wildlife at risk—species like the Northern flying squirrel. The Recovering America’s Wildlife Act would revolutionize the way we fund wildlife conservation in this country. Instead of waiting until wildlife are on the brink of extinction to step in, we could instead take targeted, voluntary actions just as a species begins to decline.
Ask your Senator to stand up and speak out for dedicated funding for the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act at the November 15th hearing.
