For over 50 years the Land and Water Conservation Fund has helped protect wildlife in every state in the country. In Maine, migratory birds have more nesting habitat. In Wyoming elk have vital winter habitat. And in Hawaii harbor seals can relax on the sea shore.
In September Congress allowed the fund to expire—putting future conservation projects in limbo. There is a bill in the Senate that would permanently reauthorize and fully fund the program, but time is running out.
Tell your representatives in Congress that it time to get the job done for our land, our water and our wildlife.
