More than ever, our hunting and fishing heritage is at risk. Declining numbers of hunters and anglers threaten the future of our pursuits and the critical conservation funding they supply for wildlife. Lack of access to places to hunt and fish is a barrier to recruiting and retaining hunters and anglers, but for more than 50 years the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) has provided that critical access at no cost to taxpayers.
Congress let the LWCF expire at the end of September, but a new poll shows that 74% of Americans want Congress to renew it to continue providing outdoor recreation access to Americans—including places to hunt and fish. But time is running out for Congress to act.
Tell your members of Congress to immediately renew and fund the Land and Water Conservation Fund!
